We all love this time of year.. glorious summer mornings, beautiful long hot days and chilled sunny evenings.

Summer Solstice, also known as Midsummer or Estival Solstice is when Earth is tilted on its axis as close to the sun as it will get. This gives us the longest day of the year; perfect for divine summer dishes.

Below we've put together our top 4 simple recipes for you to enjoy this Summer Solstice (20 June in case you didin't know!)

Summer Salad
Perhaps one of our favourites on a hot summers day is a crisp salad. Imagine this; fresh lettuce bunched on the side of the plate with a nice warm slice of Quiche. Add on some potato salad, a bit of cheesey coleslaw and chopped tomatos along with sliced cucumer, a boiled egg and new potatoes. You musn't forget to add a dollop of Lemon Mayonnaise to give it that zesty summery taste!

Smoky Joe Burgers
Next up.. Burgers. Not any burgers though - only Smoky Joe burgers will do! What's better than burger buns filled with succulent meaty burgers, cheese, lettuce, tomato and bacon? Nothing! Even better if you BBQ the burgers in the garden. There's something about a nice family BBQ that you just can't beat. Add some wedges, a side of salad and smother your burgers in our Chipotle Mayonnaise and you have a wonderfully summery dinner! Enjoy with an ice cold cider in the garden..
