An Easy Twist for your Boxing Day Dish

I can't quite believe it....... it's already the middle of December!! Christmas is defiantly fast-approaching this year.

Personally, my favourite day of the holidays has to be Boxing Day; the kids have gone home, the living room no longer covered in scraps of wrapping paper from presents that were purchased in the obligatory emergency shop run!

Now it's time to relax with a mulled wine the only thing better than the mulled wine - the left over food from the family dinner!!

The easiest way of making use of all this left over food; and lets face it every year we say we're not buying that much, however some how theres plenty for a hearty dish of bubble and squeak.... my favourite!

Wholegrain Mustard and Hot English Mustard jars wearing Christmas hatsJust take all of the leftovers and throw the lot together... Mash, cabbage, carrots, sprouts; use it all up. Add the cold meats and you're in for a well deserved treat.

Did you know bubble and squeak got its name due to the cabbage making bubbling and squeaky sounds whilst its cooking.. who knew!surprise

I've been thinking about the perfect condiment to compliment your Boxing Day bubble and squeak.. there are a couple of clear winners for me:
